Kerith Overstreet, owner and winemaker of Bruliam Wines, traded medicine for wine. After medical school, she enrolled at UC Davis for enology and built Bruliam Wines from a single barrel to 1,000 cases. Kerith's journey from medical doctor to winemaker isn't just a career change, it's a unique fusion of knowledge. This dual perspective combines the analytical rigor of academic science with the hands-on, creative process of winemaking.
Today, Kerith crafts Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, and Chardonnay using grapes from Sonoma, Santa Lucia Highlands, and her own vineyard.

Torrey Hill Vineyard stands as the quintessential estate pinot noir vineyard nestled within the enchanting landscape of the Russian River Valley, boasting a rich and captivating narrative. Formerly known as Two Sisters Vineyard, its origins, shrouded in the mists of time, offer a tale of intrigue. While some accounts trace its inception back to the years 1953-1955, the consensus leans towards a late 1960s genesis. This hallowed ground, adorned with venerable Martini clone and 667 vines, yields a bounty of robust red fruit interlaced with tantalizing spice notes, a testament to its age and heritage. Since its acquisition by the winery in 2012, the vineyard has flourished, bearing fruit that reflects over four decades of meticulous cultivation.
The moniker "Torrey" pays homage to the Torrey Pine, a precious and endangered species native to the cherished landscapes of La Jolla, evoking a deep reverence for nature's treasures. In 2015, a new chapter dawned as Kerith spearheaded a monumental replanting endeavor. Nearly 2000 fresh vines were seamlessly integrated with the venerable old growth, as Torrey Hill embarked on a journey of rejuvenation. Guided by the expertise of Guyot canes and the meticulous Burgundian tradition of 3x4 spacing, the vineyard is poised for a resurgence, promising an abundant harvest in the coming years for those who savor its fruits.
