Lieb Cellars

  • Founded in 1992 by Mark Lieb, Lieb Cellars has blossomed from a 14-acre vineyard into a thriving operation with 3 vineyard sites, 2 tasting rooms, and a custom crush winery. In 2012, winemaker Russell Hearn took the helm and steered the winery towards Certified Sustainable status in 2018. Today, Lieb Cellars celebrates three decades of dedication to sustainable practices and crafting high-quality wines on the North Fork of Long Island.

  • Lieb Cellars leverages 54 acres across 3 vineyard sites, all boasting sandy-loam soil and close proximity to Long Island Sound or Peconic Bay. This prime land fosters 11 unique vinifera grape varieties, including some of the oldest vines on Long Island.

They boast the largest contiguous plot of Pinot Blanc in the US (14 acres).

Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc vines at Bridge Lane date back to 1983, near the birth of Long Island's winemaking scene.

Red varietals were planted at the Oregon Road vineyard in 1999.

Syrah, Teroldego, Lagrein, and Golden Muskateller were added in 2013 at a leased Southold vineyard.

  • Lieb Cellars prioritizes crafting limited-quantity wines that showcase Long Island's cool climate and distinct terroir. Utilizing only hand-harvested, estate-grown fruit, their wines are known for their vibrant fruit character.
