Montagne Russe
-
Kevin Bersofsky, the owner and winemaker, embarked on his winemaking journey in a modest Napa garage in 2006, experiencing a tumultuous path before officially establishing his winery in 2015. With a background in engineering, Kevin had designed roller coasters as an undergraduate, which inspired the winery’s name. His first full barrel of Syrah, produced in 2008, featured intricate corkscrews and inversions, reminiscent of his roller coaster designs.
Montagne Russe, which originated in a garage and faced federal scrutiny in 2013 before gaining legal status in 2015, is dedicated to crafting exceptional single-vineyard Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah from cool-climate regions like the Petaluma Gap. This small winery is rapidly gaining recognition for its remarkable wines and nostalgic vibe.
