Teutonic Wine Company
-
Teutonic Wines began with Barnaby's revelation while managing a Portland restaurant in 2002. Inspired by German Rieslings, he ventured into winemaking with Gisela's support, planting two thousand vines in Alsea, Oregon. Transitioning from the restaurant industry to a cellar position in Carlton, Barnaby honed his winemaking skills. By 2008, their Alsea vineyard yielded its first crop, marking the start of their winemaking journey. Today, Teutonic Wines produces four to six thousand cases annually, prioritizing fruit from dry-farmed, older vineyards. With a focus on traditional techniques and wild yeast fermentation, their wines offer delightful flavors at competitive prices. Their commitment to quality has earned them placements on esteemed restaurant wine lists nationwide.
